The Baskett Lab

Research

Our lab focuses on theoretical population, community, and evolutionary ecology applied to conservation biology, particularly in marine systems.  We bridge basic and applied science, where ecological topics include life history evolution, local adaptation, and resilience theory, and applied topics include marine reserve design and monitoring, ecosystem-based fisheries management, ecological responses to climate change, and human-driven rapid evolution.  Members of our lab connect by using similar quantitative tools and dynamical population models across a variety of systems and questions.  For more information, see:
