Analysis
Analysis of the biological, physical and social interactions
that constitute environmental problems such as food production, energy
development and conservation, pollution and the conservation of natural
environments.
EST 123. Introdution to Field and
Laboratory Methods In Ecology (4) III. Lecture-2 hours; laboratory-6
hours; two weekend field trips. Prerequisite: Statistics 13, course 100
(may be taken concurrently), or the equivalent. Course will introduce students
to methods used for collecting ecological data in field and laboratory
situations. Methods used by population ecologists and community ecologists
are included and emphasis will be placed on experimental design, scientific
writing, and data analysis.
